Designing Custom Web Apps
Adding an action to a view
To add a macro to an event property of a control on the form, follow these
steps:
1. Click the control to highlight it and then click the Actions icon (refer
to Figure 3-17, earlier in this chapter).
Access displays the Actions window.
2. Click the Action button for which you’d like to add a macro.
Access opens a new tab where you can design the macro (see Figure 3-18).

3. Build the macro by adding actions.
For more information on creating and designing macros, see Book VI.
4. Click the Save button in the Close group on the (Macro Tools) Design
tab of the Ribbon.
Access saves the macro.
5. Click the Close button in the Close group on the (Macro Tools) Design
tab of the Ribbon.
Access closes the macro tab and returns to the view’s design tab.
6. Click Save in the Quick Access toolbar.
Access saves your changes.
To see all your changes in action, click the Launch App button in the View
group on the Home tab of the Ribbon. Just make sure that you save your
changes before you launch your app in a web browser.
The list of macros available in a Custom Web App is smaller than the list
available in a desktop database (see Table 3-2).
