Repeating header rows
Repeating header rows
If a table contains many rows, or its rows contain long text, the
table might flow onto another page. When that happens, you
probably want the column headers to be repeated at the top of
the page so that your readers don’t have to flip the pages back
and forth to identify the information.

Make header rows repeat
1 Select one or more rows of column headers at the top of the table.
2 On the Layout tab under Table Tools, in the Data group, click
Repeat Header Rows.
TIP Although the repeating column headers appear after a
page break, you can’t edit them there. To make any changes in
the headers, you must edit those at the beginning of the table.
