Inserting content controls
Content controls are great for setting up templates for letters,
forms, and other documents that contain some static (unchang-
ing) text as well as places to enter data specific to the subject of
the document. Word 2013 offers eight kinds of content controls
for various types of data.

1 By default, the Developer tab on the ribbon, which contains all the
commands related to content controls, is hidden. To display the
Developer tab, right-click the ribbon and then, on the shortcut
menu that appears, click Customize The Ribbon, which opens the
Word Options dialog box. In the list on the right side, select the
check box adjacent to Developer and then click OK.
