Making a different first page header or different odd and even pages header
4 On the Header & Footer Tools | Design contextual tab, in the Options
group, select the check box for the Different First Page option.
Observe that the tag of the header area on the first page changes
to First Page Header, but the tag on the header area on the second
and later pages still shows Header.

5 In the header area on the first page, type the text First Page
header .
6 On the Header & Footer Tools | Design contextual tab, in the Navi-
gation group, click Next to move from the first-page header to the
main header. Verify that the main header starting on the second
page still contains the text Main Header.
7 On the Header & Footer Tools | Design contextual tab, in the
Options group, select the check box for the Different Odd & Even
Pages option.
Observe that the tag of the header area on the second page
changes to Even Page Header, and the tag on the third page
changes to Odd Page Header.

8 In the header area on the second page, type the text Even Page
header .
9 On the Header & Footer Tools | Design contextual tab, in the Navi-
gation group, click Next to move from the even-page header to the
odd-page header (which was the main header until you activated
the even-page header). Verify that the odd-page header on the
third page still contains the text Main Header.
