Using multiple indexes
5 Click in the document at the location where the partial index should
start.
6 On the References tab, in the Index group, click Insert Index.
7 Select the options to create the appearance that you want for the
index, as described in “Insert an index” on page 257.
8 If a message pop-up box appears, asking whether to replace
the selected index, click No.
9 Right-click in the index. On the shortcut menu that opens, click
Toggle Field Codes.
10 Edit the field code to add the switch \b , followed by the name of
the bookmark that surrounds the desired part of the document.
For example, if the bookmark’s name is Appendix_A,
the completed Index field code should be similar to
{ InDEX \h “A” \c “2” \b Appendix_A } .

11 On the References tab, in the Index group, click Update Index.
