Inserting a picture from your computer
On your work computer, you might store the company logo,
pictures of products, engineering drawings, and so on. Your
home computer might contain hundreds of digital pictures of
family, friends, vacations, and more. You can insert any of these
files into your Word 2013 documents to illustrate and enliven
your message.
Choose a picture file on disk
1 Click at the location in the document where you want the picture to
appear.
2 On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Pictures.
3 In the Insert Picture dialog box, if the picture that you want is visi-
ble in the first folder that appears, click the picture’s icon so that its
name appears in the File Name box and then continue at step 5.
4 If you want a picture from another folder, use the folder display on
the left side of the dialog box to navigate to that location or use
the Search box in the upper-right corner of the dialog box to find
the desired picture. Then, click the picture’s icon so that its name
appears in the File Name box.
