Cropping a picture
Crop to a shape
1 Click a picture in the document to select it.
2 On the Picture Tools | Format contextual tab, in the Size group,
click the down-arrow on the bottom part of the Crop button. In the
drop-down list that appears, click Crop To Shape.
3 In the Crop To Shape gallery, click the desired item.
4 If necessary, drag the picture to reposition it with respect to the
text.

TIP The shape you select automatically adopts the full height
and width of the picture that you crop. You can’t move the
shape with respect to the contents of the picture. To get the best
result, first crop the picture to make a rectangle or square that has
approximately the same proportions as the shape you plan to use for
cropping.
