Applying special effects
Applying special effects
Word 2013 includes a selection of artistic effects ranging
from simple blurring to simulations of pencil or paint strokes
as well as textures such as cement or plastic. You can apply
these effects, together with other alterations such as color
changes, shadows, or reflections, to create attention-grabbing
illustrations.
Choose an artistic effect
1 Click a picture in the document to select it.
2 On the Picture Tools | Format contextual tab, in the Adjust group,
click Artistic Effects.
3 In the gallery that opens, point to the thumbnails. Observe the live
preview of the picture in the document. When you see the appear-
ance that you want, click the thumbnail to apply that setting.
