Showing and hiding comments
showing and hiding comments
When you’re reading and responding to comments, you’ll want
to see all of them. When you’re reading the document for other
purposes, though, the lines and balloons can be distracting.
Word 2013 has a new Simple Markup view that hides the clutter
and shows just an icon in the margin to indicate the presence of
a comment.

down list and select Simple Markup, if it isn’t already selected. Click
any Comment balloon to see its complete comment.
TIP When All Markup is selected, the comments appear in
Outline or Draft view as tags in the text. You can position the
cursor on a tag to see the comment or, on the Review tab, click
Reviewing Pane.
TIP To control what items are shown in balloons, on the
Review tab, in the Tracking group, click Show Markup, point to
Balloons, and then choose a setting from the menu.
