Changing which files open in Protected View
Enable Protected View for specific files
1 If you disabled Protected View for one or more types of files, you
can enable it when you open a file that might not be safe. Click File
to display the Backstage view and then click the Open tab. Select
the location, such as your computer or SkyDrive, and click Browse.
2 In the Open dialog box, go to the folder that contains the docu-
ment that you want to open and click the file’s icon to select it.
3 Click the drop-down arrow on the Open button. On the shortcut
menu that appears, click Open In Protected View.
4 The document opens in Protected View.
Don’t click the Enable Editing button unless you can determine that
the document is safe.
