Customizing the screen
show or hide white space
1 If the document isn’t already in Print Layout view, on the View
tab, in the Views group, click Print Layout. Hold the cursor over
the space between the bottom of one page and the top of the
next page so that the cursor changes to a pair of boxes containing
arrows pointing toward one another.
2 Double-click to collapse the space between pages and to hide any
header or footer.
3 Double-click the collapsed space between pages to restore the
space and any header or footer.
TIP If there is a watermark or other graphic anchored in the
header or footer, collapsing the white space will also hide the
graphic, and expanding the white space will restore the graphic.
