Marking text to ignore spelling
Marking text to ignore spelling
When you see a red squiggle under a name or other word that
you know is correctly spelled, you might not want to add it to
your custom dictionary. Instead, you can just mark it so that the
spelling checker will ignore it in the current document. Later,
you can turn off the Ignore option and recheck the document.
Ignore a spelling error
1 Right-click a word marked with a red squiggle.
2 Click Ignore All to mark every occurrence of that word in the entire

1 Click File to display the Backstage view and then click Options.
2 Click Proofing.
3 Click Recheck Document.
4 In the confirmation box that asks whether you want to continue
with the recheck, click Yes, and then in the Options dialog box, click

Spelling & Grammar to open the Spelling pane, in which you
can click Ignore to mark a single occurrence of a word, or click Ignore
All to mark all occurrences of the same word in the document.
