more time using the Data Analysis add-in. The data can be found on the Statistics
sheet in the Chapter 13 Excel file.
First, select Data Analysis under the Data ribbon. When you click on the Data
Analysis button, the Data Analysis menu will pop up as shown in Figure 13.2. Select
Descriptive Statistics and confirm (OK or Enter).
In the Descriptive Statistics window, you can use our data set for the input range
by typing DATA or by selecting A1:A500 (the range A1:A500 was named DATA
ahead of time). You can now check the last four boxes on the bottom left of the menu
and click OK. See Figure 13.3 for the menu and the results.
Please note: When you are using the Analysis ToolPak, the results are not linked
any more to the original data. Unlike other Excel functions, the results will not
change if you change the original data. You will have to calculate them again.
