APPENDIX: USING DATA ANALYSIS IN EXCEL MAC 2011 AND EXCEL 2003
Excel Mac 2011 does not have the Data Analysis ToolPak. If you are using the Mac
Excel 2011 and you need a similar option to the Windows versions, download and
use the free StatPlus:mac LE from AnalystSoft ( www.analystsoft.com/en/products/
The Analysis ToolPak for Excel 2003 or previous versions works exactly the
same way in previous versions of Excel. The only notable differences are in how to
launch and activate it, if it is not pre-installed when you start Excel.
To use the Data Analysis in Excel 2003 or other versions, go to Tools
Analysis. See Figure 13.12.
If the Data Analysis is not on your Tools menu, you have to activate it. To activate
the Data Analysis, go to Tools
Add-Ins, and check the Analysis ToolPak option as
shown in Figure 13.13. Now you are ready to go and use the Data Analysis.
You will find these examples in the Excel Chapter 13 file:
