Dear Nicholas:
Enclosed you will find the signed contract. As you can see, I am returning all three pages,
with my signature on each.
Now that we have finalized the contract, I have a few questions: When will we receive
a complete schedule for the project? Also, how many preliminary designs do you require?
Finally, will you be available to discuss the project with our artists via a conference call
some afternoon next week? Thursday or Friday afternoon would be ideal, if either of
those options work for you.
Thanks again for choosing Art4U. We look forward to working with you.
Sincerely yours,
Megan L. Grahs
You’ll begin by opening a new blank document (in case you accidentally typed some-
thing in the current page). Whenever you need to perform a common task such as opening
a document, you can usually start with the task pane. In this case, you can use a special
task pane that is devoted to creating new documents.
To open a new document:
1. Click the Create a new document button in the Open section at the bottom of the
Getting Started task pane. Instead of the Getting Started task pane, you now see the New
Document task pane. See Figure 1-10.
