Selected Openings field
4. Position the pointer in the Openings field selector, and then click and drag the pointer to
the right until the vertical line on the right of the EndDate field is highlighted. See Figure 3-15.
Dragging the field in the design grid
5. Release the mouse button. The Openings field moves to the right of the EndDate field.
The fields are now in the correct order for the sort. Next, you need to specify an ascending
sort order for the PositionTitle field and a descending sort order for the Openings field.
6. Click the right side of the PositionTitle Sort text box to display the list arrow and the sort
options, and then click Ascending . You’ve selected an ascending sort order for the
PositionTitle field, which will be the primary sort field. The PositionTitle field is a text field,
and an ascending sort order will display the field values in alphabetical order.
7. Click the right side of the Openings Sort text box, click Descending , and then click in one
of the empty text boxes to the right of the Openings field to deselect the setting. You’ve
selected a descending sort order for the Openings field, which will be the secondary sort
field, because it appears to the right of the primary sort field (PositionTitle) in the design
grid. See Figure 3-16.
