Getting Help
Windows XP Help provides on-screen information about the program you are using. Help
for the Windows XP operating system is available by clicking the Start button on the
taskbar and then clicking Help and Support on the Start menu. If you want Help for a par-
ticular program, such as WordPad, you must first start the program, and then click Help
on the program’s menu bar.
When you start Help for Windows XP, a Windows Help and Support Center window
opens, which gives you access to Help files stored on your computer as well as Help
information stored on Microsoft’s Web site. If you are not connected to the Web, you only
have access to the Help files stored on your computer.
