Practice tasks
Practice tasks
The practice file for these tasks is located in the MOSPowerPoint2013\Objective2
practice file folder. Save the results of the tasks in the same folder.
Open the PowerPoint_2-1 presentation, and then complete the following
tasks:
Immediately following the title slide, add a new slide with the default
Title And Content layout.
From the New Slide gallery, add one slide of each layout in order,
beginning with the Section Header layout, so that the presentation contains a
total of nine slides.
Delete the blank slide (slide 7) from the presentation.
Hide the Title Only slide (slide 6).
Format the background of only the Section Header slide (slide 3) with
a radial gradient ill that extends from the center of the slide. Set the
beginning color to Aqua, Accent 1; set the ending color to Indigo,
Accent 2; and remove all interim gradient stops. Accept all other default
settings.
Save the presentation as MyStarter.pptx .
2.2 Insert and format shapes
To emphasize, illustrate, or embellish key points in a presentation, you can add simple
shapes or complex arrangements of shapes to slides. PowerPoint provides tools for
creating several types of shapes, including stars, banners, boxes, lines, circles, and squares.
With a little imagination, you can create drawings by combining multiple shapes.
After you draw a shape, or if you select a shape by clicking it, the shape is surrounded by
a set of handles. You can change the dimensions, aspect ratio, angles, or rotation of the
shape by dragging the handles.
