The rst step in creating an effective worksheet is to make sure you
understand what is required. The person or persons requesting the worksheet
should supply their requirements in a requirements document. A requirements
document includes a needs statement, a source of data, a summary of calculations,
and any other special requirements for the worksheet, such as charting and web
support. Figure 1– 2 shows the requirements document for the new workbook to be
created in this chapter.
