Formatting the Worksheet

Tap or click the Title cell style to apply the cell style to the active cell (Figure 1– 32).
Why do several items in the Font group on the ribbon change?
The changes to the Font box and Font Size box indicate the font changes applied to the active cell, cell A1, as
a result of applying the Title cell style.

To Change the Font
Why? Different fonts often are used in a worksheet to make it more appealing to the reader and to relate or
distinguish data in the worksheet. The following steps change the worksheet subtitle’s font to Cambria.

Tap or click cell A2 to
make it the active cell.
Tap or click the
Font arrow (HOME
tab | Font group)
to display the Font
gallery. If necessary,
scroll to display
Cambria.
If you are using a
mouse, point to
Cambria in the
Font gallery to see
a live preview of
the selected font
in the active cell
(Figure 1– 33).
