Saving and Organizing Files
T O M INIMIZE AND R ESTORE A W INDOW U SING W INDOWS 7
If you are using Windows 7, perform these steps to minimize and restore a
window instead of the previous steps that use Windows 8.
1. Click the Minimize button on the app’s title bar to minimize the window.
2. If the Windows Explorer window is not open on the screen, click the
Windows Explorer button on the taskbar to make the Windows Explorer
window the active window.
3. Double-click the Excel folder in the le list to select the folder and display
its contents.
4. After viewing the contents of the selected folder, click the Excel button on
the taskbar to restore the minimized window.

To Save a File on SkyDrive
One of the features of office is the capability to save les on SkyDrive so that you can use the les on
multiple computers without having to use external storage devices such as a USB ash drive. Storing les on
SkyDrive also enables you to share les more efciently with others, such as when using office Web Apps and
office 365.
In the following example, Excel is used to save a le on SkyDrive. Why? Storing les on SkyDrive provides
more portability options than are available from storing les in the Documents library.
You can save les directly on SkyDrive from within Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The following steps
save the current Excel le on SkyDrive. These steps require you have a Microsoft account and an Internet
connection.
