Microsoft office and Windows Help
At any time while you are using one of the office apps, such as Excel, you can use
office Help to display information about all topics associated with the app. This section
illustrates the use of Excel Help. Help in other office apps operates in a similar fashion.
In office, Help is presented in a window that has browser-style navigation
buttons. Each office app has its own Help home page, which is the starting Help
page that is displayed in the Help window. If your computer is connected to the
Internet, the contents of the Help page reect both the local Help les installed on the
computer and material from Microsoft’s website.

The following step opens the Excel Help window. Why? You might not understand how certain commands
or operations work in Excel, so you can obtain the necessary information using help. The step to open a Help window in
other office programs is similar.

Moving and Resizing Windows
At times, it is useful, or even necessary, to have more than one window open and
visible on the screen at the same time. You can resize and move these open windows
so that you can view different areas of and elements in the window. In the case of the
Help window, for example, it could be covering document text in the Excel window
that you need to see.

To Move a Window by Dragging
You can move any open window that is not maximized to another location on the desktop by dragging the title
bar of the window. Why? You might want to have a better view of what is behind the window or just want to move the window
so that you can see it better. The following step drags the Excel Help window to the upper-left corner of the desktop.
