In Depth Information
A hyperlink control can display data that is stored in a hyperlink
data type in a table. To use this feature, you drag the hyperlink
data type field onto the form from the Field List pane, and the
field is then automatically displayed via a hyperlink control.
In this example, we show how you can add an unbound
hyperlink, which has a fixed value and can be linked to an existing file,
a webpage, an object in the database, or an email address.
Create a hyperlink
1 On the Form Design Tools ribbon, click the Design tab with a form
open in design view.
2 Click the hyperlink button in the Controls toolbox.
3 Browse to locate the document.
4 Click OK. The control is automatically added to the form.
5 Reposition the hyperlink control on the form.
TIP When creating a hyperlink, if you choose Objects In This
Database (on the left side of the popup window), you can create
a navigation interface using hyperlinks to other objects such as tables,
queries, forms, and reports in the database.
