Aligning Paragraphs by Using the Paragraph Dialog Box
Tip
You can also display the Paragraph dialog box by using the dialog launcher found in
the Paragraph group on the Page Layout tab.

formatting.
The Indents And Spacing tab offers the following paragraph alignment options:
Alignment Sets the position of paragraph contents relative to the margins.
Available alignment options are Left, Centered, Right, and Justified. The options in this list
correspond to the alignment buttons on the Ribbon.
Outline level Sets the level of the paragraph (for example, Heading 1, Heading 2,
or Body Text), which might change the indent of the text at the cursor position.
Left Indentation Indents the paragraph from the left by the amount you specify.
To display text or graphics within the left margin, enter a negative number in the Left
text box.
Right Indentation Indents the paragraph from the right margin by the amount
you specify. To display text or graphics within the right margin, enter a negative
number in the Right text box.
