Creating Reports
KPIs and scorecards allow you to compare business data against goals. Once you have identified the problem
areas in the enterprise, you need to be able to understand the conditions that are causing problems. A “report”
in PerformancePoint is a generic term referring to a window of information that has been sorted out based
on the filters and scorecard selections made in the dashboard.
The two most common types of reports in PerformancePoint are Analytic Charts and Analytic Grids.
We will create one of each for our dashboard.
Open the Marketing.ddwx file in Dashboard Designer.
Right-click on the PerformancePoint Content list, and select New Report.
Select the Analytic Grid template, and click OK. (See Figure 6-73 .)
