Pens and arrows
Basic steps

Click to display the
pen pop-up menu
You can quickly change your mouse pointer to a pen so that
you can annotate a slide, or draw something on your ‘black-
board’ or ‘whiteboard’ (see next page). Pen and arrow options
are in the pen pop-up menu.
To ‘draw’ on the screen

Select a pen – Ballpoint,
Felt Tip or Highlighter

Click and drag to draw
Select a pen
To specify an ink colour

Select Ink Color

Click on an ink colour

Click the icon
To return to the Arrow
mouse pointer

Select the Arrow option

Click Ink Color
To erase annotations
from the screen

Pick a colour

Choose Eraser

Click on the area you
wish to erase
To erase all drawing

Choose Erase All Ink on

Click Erase All Ink
Keyboard shortcuts for pens and arrows:
[Ctrl]-[P]
changes the pointer to the Ballpoint pen
[Ctrl]-[A] changes the pointer to the Arrow
[Ctrl]-[E]
changes the pointer to the Eraser
