Adjusting the indent
Indent levels
You can increase the indent on bullet points to create a
structure up to 5 levels deep.

The Decrease Indent tool
is dimmed when the
insertion point is in a Level
1 bullet point - you can’t
decrease the indent level
any further. The Increase
Indent tool is dimmed
when the insertion point is
in a bullet point at Level 5.
The Increase Indent
and Decrease Indent
tools can be
used to create the structure required.
Keyboard shortcuts
Position the insertion in front of the point you wish to
increase/decrease the indent of and press:
[Tab]
to increase the indent
[Shift]-[Tab]
to decrease the indent.
Position the insertion point anywhere within the point you
wish to increase/decrease the indent of and press:
[Shift]-[Alt]-[ ]
to increase the indent
[Shift]-[Alt]-[ ]
to decrease the indent.
