Formatting clip art
Picture toolbar
Insert Picture
Opens Insert Picture dialog box so
you can insert a picture from a file

Options are Automatic, Greyscale,
Black & White and Washout.
If the Picture toolbar does
not appear when you select
a clip art object, open the
View menu, choose Toolbars
then click Picture.
More Contrast
Increase the contrast between the
colours and shades
Less Contrast
Decrease the contrast between the
colours and shades
More Brightness
Increase the brightness of the
picture
Less Brightness
Decrease the brightness of the
picture
Crop
Click, then position over handle on
corner or edge of picture, and drag
Rotate left 90°
Rotate object a quarter turn to the
left
Line Style
Select a line style to give the object
a border
Tip
Compress Pictures
Reduces size of pictures so the file
takes up less space on disk
You can also insert images
from files, e.g. a .bmp or .jpg
file. Choose Picture from
the Insert menu and then
select From File. At the
Insert Picture dialog box,
browse to locate the file,
select it and click Insert.
Recolor Picture
Displays dialog box so that you can
change the colours in your picture
Format Picture
Opens Format Picture dialog box
with full range of formatting options
Set Transparent Color Allows you to set a transparent area
in your picture – available for most
(but not all) file formats
Reset Picture
Resets the picture to its original
state
