To Change the Position of Shapes and Add Effects to the Organization Chart
With all of the necessary data in the chart, the next step is to customize the chart by changing its layout to
refl ect the structure of the Information Technology department. The shapes in the third and fourth rows of the
organization chart should be spread out to reduce the clutter in the chart. The following steps arrange the chart to
be more readable and visually appealing.

Click the lower-right
shape in the organi-
zation chart (Diana
Landry) and then
drag the shape to
the right until the
right edge of the
shape is aligned with
the right edge of the
organization chart as
shown in Figure 13.
