In Depth Information

**IMLOG2**

The
IMLOG10
function is found only if the Analysis Toolpak is installed. In addition it must be

turned on in the Add-Ins from the Tools menu. The example in Figure 5.27 shows the

common Logarithm (Base 10) of the complex numbers.

INUMBER
The complex number for which you want the common logarithm

(Base10).

Calculated from the natural logarithm as follows:

See the
COMPLEX
function earlier in this chapter for obtaining the complex number of real and

imaginar y coefficients.

Figure 5.27

Returns the common

logarithm (Base 10) of

complex numbers
x+yi

or
x+yj
in text format.

IMLOG2

IMLOG2
returns the Base 2 logarithm of a complex number in
x+yi
or
x+yj
text format.

The
IMLOG2
function is found only if the Analysis Toolpak is installed. In addition it must be

turned on in the Add-Ins from the Tools menu. The example in Figure 5.28 shows the

common Logarithm (Base 2) of the complex numbers.

The complex number for which you want the common logarithm

(Base2).
