INF INFO returns operating environment information.
=INFO(type_text)
The INFO function can be used to retrieve vital information about your current operating
environment. For example, if you are working within a workbook created by another person, and,
for some reason the calculations weren’t working, you could type the formula =INFO(“recalc”)
and Excel would return either manual or automatic. The INFO text types and descriptions are in
Table 7.3 and the formulas in practice with the return results are shown in Figure 7.4.
This can be any value such as number, text, logical value, and so on.
