Connecting series points to a trendline
Figure 5-24: The columns depict the weekly average; the custom
error bars show the minimum and maximum for the week.
Figure 5-25: This XY chart uses Y error bars to indicate the deviation between
the actual Y values and the predicted Y values on the trendline.
The first step is to add a trendline to the XY chart. Then, create formulas to
calculate the predicted Y values (the values along the trend lines). For this example, the
range C2:C11 contains the following array formula (entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter):
=TREND(B2:B11,A2:A11)
