Calculating the area under a curve
If you use an XY chart to generate a curve, you may need to calculate the area
under the curve. I’m starting with an elementary example, shown in Figure 8-46.
The gridlines in this chart are separated by one unit, so calculating the area under
this curve can be done manually. It consists of 10.5 square units (nine complete
squares plus three half squares).
