VERIFYING THE DATA RANGE
This step of the Chart Wizard dialog box contains two tabs: Data Range and Series.
Click the Data Range tab.
The Data range field displays the range address that was selected when you
started the Chart Wizard. If you selected only a single cell, this field displays Excel’s
best guess regarding the range to be plotted.

If the data range is not correct, you can change it by clicking in the Data range
field and then selecting the correct range by dragging in the worksheet. Or, you can
edit the range address manually.
When you activate the Data Range field, you’ll discover that this field is in
“point mode.” Using the arrow keys on your keyboard selects data in the
worksheet. If you would like to edit the actual range address listed in the
Data Range, press F2 to get into “edit mode.”
For this example, the data range that was selected originally is correct.
CHANGING THE DATA ORIENTATION
The orientation of the data has a drastic effect on the look of your chart. Excel has
its own rules that it uses to determine the data orientation. If Excel guesses
incorrectly, you can change it by selecting the Rows or Columns option button. This step
