Creating Bullet and Number Lists
Tip
Make Your Own Template You can turn any document into a template
to reuse. Click the Ribbon’s File tab and click Save As . Choose a loc-
ation for the file; then in the Save As dialog box, choose Word Tem-
plate from the Save as Type drop-down list.
Creating Bullet and Number Lists
You can use Word’s bulleting and numbering features to present polished lists or draw
attention to important text. A bulleted list inserts bullets or circles in front of each listed
item, whereas a numbered list inserts numbers. You can customize the style of your bul-
lets and numbers to create the right effect.
Select the text to which you want to add bullets.
From the Ribbon’s Home tab, click the Bullets drop-down arrow.
Click the bullet style you want to apply.
Bullets are added to the selected text.
