Using Task Panes
Note
Where Did It Go?
A contextual tab remains visible as long as the re-
lated object is selected. When you click elsewhere, it disappears.
Using Task Panes
A
task pane
is a window that enables you to perform common tasks without covering your
document (such as a dialog box does). Microsoft has converted many dialog boxes to task
panes in Office 2013. For example, look at the Format Shape pane.
Right-click a shape. (You can insert one by clicking the Shapes button on
Select
Format Shape
from the menu that displays.
On the Format Shape pane, adjust the format settings to change the look of
your shape.
