Inserting Page Breaks
For Your Information: Inserting a Watermark
The watermark feature is not available in Excel. However, you can still
perform the same function by inserting a picture in a header or footer.
The picture appears behind the text and on every printed page. Click the
Insert tab, click the Header & Footer button, click in the header or foot-
er box where you want to insert a picture, click the Picture button, and
then double-click the picture you want. To resize or scale the picture,
click Format Picture, select the options you want on the Size tab, and
then click OK. To add space above or below the picture, use the Enter
key. To replace a picture, select &[Picture], click the Picture button, and
then click Replace. You might need to adjust the margins so the picture
and any text fit on the page the way you want.
Inserting Page Breaks
If you want to print a worksheet that is larger than one page, Excel divides it into pages
by inserting automatic page breaks . These page breaks are based on paper size, margin
settings, and scaling options you set. You can change which rows or columns are printed
on the page by inserting horizontal or vertical page breaks . In page break preview, you
can view the page breaks and move them by dragging them to a different location on the
worksheet.
Insert a Page Break
Select the location where you want to insert a page break:
Horizontal. To insert a horizontal page break, click the row where you want
to insert a page break.
Vertical. To insert a vertical page break, click the column where you want to
insert a page break.
Cell. To insert a horizontal and vertical page break, click the cell below and
to the right from where you want to insert a page break.
Click the Page Layout tab.
Click the Breaks button, and then click Insert Page Break .
A dotted line appears on the worksheet indicating the location of the page
break.
