Step 1: Select document type
group, and choose Step-by-Step Mail Merge Wizard. This opens the Mail Merge pane, shown
in Figure 10.35. Just follow along its steps from there.

Step 1: Select document type
In Step 1, shown in Figure 10.35, choose the type of data document you want to create
under Select document type. Click the Next: Starting document link at the bottom of the
pane to move to the next wizard step.
Step 2: Starting document
The Mail Merge task pane next presents three options under Select starting document. Note
that when you choose any of these options, Word explains the option in the lower part of
the task pane. The options are as follows:
Use the current document: Start from the current document and use the Mail
Merge wizard to add recipient information (merge fi elds).
